A Family affair
Our passion for coffee came about
at the end of the 1940s in Vigevano, near Milan.
After the Second World War,
traditional manufacturing saw a new renaissance. At the time our family was
producing high quality shoes. Differently to other businesses prepared to
sacrifice quality to increase the speed of economic recovery, our patriarch Alfredo
Bonomi made a different choice: he put his artisan passion and knowledge into
coffee, keeping true to a constant quest for superior quality.
He decided coffee would be his main
enterprise. Thus began the search for the best raw materials and for processing
methods able to identify the most balanced blends and the most satisfying
roasting systems. The methods he established are still the ones in use in our
company today.

We have been gently roasting our coffee here for almost 50 years according to old tradition.
Its quality
Our coffee is born out of this culture of excellence. Its quality is however the result of knowhow, the love of all those working with us and the meticulous artisan care given to the product in all processing stages: the selection of raw materials, monitoring of conditions after transport from countries of origin up to the most delicate roasting phase followed by maturing and finally by packaging.
